Aprikoskärnor är, liksom många andra nötter och fröer, mycket näringsrika. De innehåller bland annat Amygdalin, även känd som vitamin B17. Denna vitamin angriper cancerceller och kan därmed bidra till att hindra cancer från att bryta ut i våra kroppar.
Amygdalin (vitamin B17) finns i många hundra livsmedel, men de som är särskilt rika på Amygdalin har till stor del försvunnit från den västerländska kosten.
